Silent Auction for "The Garden of Angels"
Coordinated by Suzie McDonald

The mission of the non-profit Trust we have established is to honor the memory of children who have passed by creating a garden to be located at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. On February 5, 2007, I lost my son Jamie Flynt to an undetected heart condition. Jamie was a loving and generous man that lived life to the fullest and my life is no longer the same without him in it. He was 34 years old.

Bluegrass Memorial Gardens have graciously provided a location on their grounds where the "Garden of Angels" will be established. This garden will be a place of reflection and remembrance, a place where families can work together to create a space of beauty and sanctuary in honor and memory of their children. Rather than being solely a place of death, a garden at the cemetery can afford a renewed purpose for others who have experienced a loss similar to mine. It may bring nenewed hope as it gives renewed life and beauty. The loss of a child is the greatest loss of all and one in which it becomes very difficult for parents to consider the purpose of continued life. The Garden of Angels will offer the bereaved a safe place in which to mourn their loss, express their sorrow and share their child's story.

Please donate an item to be auctioned off in memory of your son or daughter. Contact Suzie at (859) 576-7680 for donations.
We thank you,
Suzie & Memories of Jamie

2008 Family Picnic
Last year's picnic provided us with a wonderful opportunity to remember our children and share with each other. Thanks to Suzie McDonald for her incredible Silent Auction, coordinated in loving memory of her son Jamie Flynt. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a truly memorable day.
